After graduating from The University of Economic in Sofia with Master Degree in Finance Petia started her professional career in a finance consulting company “Stanchoff, Sevlievski & Co”, a company formed by the Bulgarian Ambassador in UK Mr. Ivan Stanchoff, that main goal was economical research, providing and analysis of financial information over the Bulagrian stock companies in the period of the Mass Privatization process in Bulgaria. Petia Minkova was focused on researching and analyzing the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic industry.
As Petia is coming from an entrepreneurial family, that owned a pharmaceutical and food supplement production company, run by her father, she joined the company team, being responsible for the product’s brand development and marketing.
At the end of the 90s, as the business activity of Petia's family expand with the acquisition of a Wood manufacturing and Furniture producing company, she assumed the management of the Furniture Production Department of the enterprise and in 2001 she settled her own company and launched the brand BOGDANMEBEL on the Bulgarian furniture retail and contractor market. Years of steady work in the company and the perspectives of the booming real estate market in Bulgaria at that time, along with the desire of Petia to learn and her curiosity, motivated her to enlarge her knowledge in the field of interior and furniture design. She made several post graduated course at the Design School and the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan. Following the rising trend in the construction and development of resort real estate market, the company broaden the boundaries of its activity, providing an interior design service, consulting, solutions, for the total look of the projects, with direct importation of textiles and accessories, furniture and decoration , and own production of furniture, as well.
In the past three years, Petia is mostly devoted to her family’s winery Copsa, boutique hotel Chateau Copsa and wine bar Le Verre de Vin. Her enthusiasm of vine growing and winemaking, and enjoying and appreciating the wine was inherited from her grandfather, who was a director for a decade of the biggest wine production union Vinprom in The Rose Valley region of Bulgaria. Moved by the desire of profound knowledge in the world of wine and winemaking, Petia made several courses in Wine & Spirit Educational Trust, London.
